365 Days, Day 193

There are very few human beings who receive the truth, complete and staggering, by instant illumination. Most of them acquire it fragment by fragment, on a small scale, by successive developments, cellularly, like a laborious mosaic (Anais Nin)

We become not a melting pot but a beautiful mosaic. Different people, different beliefs, different yearnings, different hopes, different dreams (Jimmy Carter)

Had a day outing the snow in London. Tom got his permanent residence today! Saw this beautiful mosaic in a shop window in Camden. We went to a German Christmas market… except we couldn’t find it, so instead went off to Camden and then to Covent Garden. Came home tired and cold.

Each one of us is a tiny piece of the greater picture. We need to step back and look from afar at times. Look outward instead of inward; and know that we are making a tiny difference…
