Starting the day with gentle stretching exercises out in the open (overlooking the green carpeted valley sweeping up to the clawed mountains on the other side) at 6.30 in the morning, is glorious. we were still in Noble Silence so the only sounds are of nature: the wind in the trees, the birds, the cows, the chickens and the humans stirring in the valley. Underfoot the grass was cold and soft.
